Southern Ports will commence groyne works in the Inner Harbour of its Port of Bunbury, from Monday 12 February 2024 which will take approximately 12 weeks to complete.
These works will take place at the southern end of Kalgulup Regional Park beach and will upgrade the groyne and navigational aid. Navigational aids are used to guide ships into and out of our ports safely.
As a result of these works there will be land and maritime exclusion zones resulting in temporary closures to:
- a small portion of the southern end of Kalgulup Regional Park beach including Point Hamila; and
- waters adjacent to the groyne.

The Cut, Turkey Point and the majority of Kalgulup Regional Park beach will still be accessible to the public.
This is marked by local signage shown in the purple zone in the map below.
