Southern Ports has extended its partnership with Esperance Tjaltjraak Native Title Aboriginal Corporation (ETNTAC) to maintain its Port of Esperance grounds and gardens to June 2025.
Southern Ports is set to welcome a new iron ore exporter in a deal that will boost iron ore trade by up to 1.5 million tonnes each year through the Port of Esperance.
Work has started on upgrading conveyor infrastructure at the Port of Esperance after Southern Ports awarded a $2.4 million contract to Aboriginal company First Nation Engineering.
The final shipment of 9,500 tonnes of old railway sleepers that spanned from Kalgoorlie to Esperance has headed to Korea from the Port of Esperance as part of a metal recycling project facilitated by Sims Metal.
